I have a question about the book "The Devil Wears Prada"?
A girl I am dating said I remind her of Christian Thompson from the book but I havn't read it or seen the movie. Could someone tell me what exactly the character does in the book, what kind of guy he is etc. Also if you want add a little analysis of whether you think that is a good or bad thing..Thanks!!

- I think Christian Thompson was the name of the character in the movie, and in the book he was called Christian Collinsworth. What I remember of the character was that he was very intelligent, charming, suave and persistent. He was a writer for the New Yorker and was the hot, acclaimed writer of the moment. He ended up being a jerk in the movie (I didn't pay much attention to the book, but he also didn't get the girl there). Maybe you just look like him, because he's kinda an metaphor for that whole lifestyle - really glamorous and exciting, but ultimately kinda empty and selfish. Unless she's talking about you being an awesome writer or part of the jet set crowd (or good looking, I guess - people in the movie thought he was hot), I'm not seeing a compliment so much if she's talking core personality traits.
