Is it wrong for a Christian to do "Missionary Dating"?
Missionary Dating is when a christian dates a non-christian not only because they are attracted to them but also to try to bring them to Christ. What do you guys think about this? Is it going against scripture?

- Of course its not wrong. But don't date someone to try and bring them to christ. This is wrong. You guys have to start to realise that atheists are necessarily unhappy people who need saving and introducing to god. People can believe what they like and christians are not above everyone else.
- Oh i like that one, but not for this reason in the first place. I would never search for a non-christian and get together with her just to bring them to christ in the first place. That is not love. If it happens that i find a woman and get together with her and find out lateron that she is non-christian, i will try to bring her to christ.
- I don't know if it's against any scripture, but I would say that yes, it would be wrong to date someone just because you want to convert them. How would you feel if you found out that someone you were seeing was just seeing you to try to convert you to some other belief system? That's not to say that you shouldn't be able to share your religious beliefs with someone, but I think the best thing to do would be to respect their beliefs. If you're just interested in conversion, then just leave them be.
- I think it is a little wrong only to date someone because you want them to share your religion, but its not the worst thing in the world is it. Maybe you should look at this differently and not think of it like a mission, seperate the two mission and dating, and work from there.
- If you try this you will probably get hurt - getting emotionally attached to someone is a big deal, and they may well not become Christians. Try meeting people as friends rather than dates to start with.
- Yes it is. Really wrong to put people into burning hell.
- ok look at it this way you stand on a chair, and have someone stand on the ground next to you, now try to pull them up with you onto the chair? how did that work? ok now have them try to have them pull you down next to them. you fell of the chair didn't you? that's how it is when you "missionary date" it's is easier for the person you are dating to pull you down, then for you to pull them up to christ. and then they might even try to become a christian just to please you, then it wouldn't a true conversion. I hope that helped you! God bless!
